EVALUATION7 - Comparing Our Preliminary Task With Our Final Product.

The two extracts in this clip are examples of how we've improved from our preliminary task to our final title sequence. The clips can be compared by saying that we have improved our use of editing skills such as 'continuity'. In the first clip you can see that there is jump and movement is not very fluid, and appears to be very 'studenty' and unprofessional. The final title sequence from 'Solo' is cleary an improvement on the original task and i feel that it shows how our skills have improved over the course.

Also when comparing the groups original use of camera shots you can see that they appeared to be very limited. There was not a wide range of camera shots and the focus appeared to be more on mid-shots, compared to the title sequence that uses a variety of shots including close ups to display the emotions on the characters faces. Also there is a use of 'panning' to show movement whereas the preliminary task shows hardly any movement and just appears to go from shot to shot.
