EVALUATION2 - Our Media Product Representing Particular Social Groups

The Film which inspired us for an idea for our title sequence is 'Se7en' 1995, however, our characters (from these particular shots) are contrasted as the social groups involved are very different.
There are a few similarities between these two characters which are:
- they are both weak victims of the movie
- both have been captured by the villian(s)

On the other hand, differences between our 'Solo' & 'Se7en' include:
The use of a female victim stereotypes women to being weak and inferior to either the opposite gender or to their the other hand, as a male victim is used for 'se7en' it contrasts with the idea that men have tactics of how to get away when in trouble. It creates a sense that they are just as trapped as women, and both genders are equal.

Another difference in the represented social groups is the the age difference of the characters. As Alima is portrayed as younger than the man from 'se7en' it is understandable why she is uncapable of rescuing herself.
The man represents older men who too, are unable to get themselves out of trouble, as they struggle to find support.

It is unclear by looking at the stills what social class the two characters have come from, so it is nearly impossible to say whether their background has an effect on why they are in the position they are in.
