Intro to camera & health and safety tutorial

In today lesson, we had an induction to the camera and health and safety tutiral. This was before we was allowed to go out and film practise clips.We got shown the basics of the cameras such as; turning it on, putting in our memory cards( 2 16gb ones) taking in and out the battory, opening the shutter. We had a presentation to go with the tutiral, this showed us how to safety use the camera. Such as; not using the camera in bad weather conditions as they cost a lot, up to three thosand pound.We also got shown the tripod this is a object which holds the camera, allowing you to pan with out shakey movements. We got told not to using the zooming function as it hard trick to pull of but we still got shown it just in case.Another useful tip we got shown was watching the footage back that you previously film, this would save a lot of time because you can check if your footage is what you wanted. This was benfical; so we dont loose our footage, damage the cameras or do bad shot and film in bad lights which would waste time .
